Fitness Friday Kickoff

While Lily and I were together one of the things we did, somewhat regularly (never as regularly as I'd like, but I'm pushy (and getting pushier), especially when it comes to the area of fitness) was to workout together. I love to workout. I have since I was a little girl. And Lily has loved to workout before and has recently become quite a faithful runner (with some cautions from the workout fanatic, here). I believe her plan is to run a 5K tomorrow morning. Rock on, Lily!

While we were together we went running, did some resistance training and stretching, and I threw out the idea of Fitness Friday on the blog. Lily said she would actually post if we did that, so I said, "Deal. Done."

So we kick it off this week with this introductory post. We may not post every week, but if we do it'll be on Friday. We might even use Mr. Linky so you can link up to your own fitness posts (which, in my book, includes nutrition, etc., etc.) So....Welcome Fitness Friday! Next week: a picture.

It was a lovely week together and I'm looking forward to posting some pictures when the photographer is done with them. I hope you've been enjoying your summer as much as we have!

Just A Small Break

(I'm taking another week off from my counting of the gifts from His heart. Getting back from my time away these past two weeks and adjusting to life here again with all its routines that are so different and people that rub up close and uncomfortable sometimes has been right hard and so very full of sin. So I'm taking this day off to fall in love...again...with the Giver of all the gifts...trying to learn how to count again. Thank you for grace. The gift journal is slowly opening again and pencil to paper numbering His love...taking moments to look and see and revel in the surprising joy of grace....every where! All's grace, friends.)

The Week in Quotes, Day Five

And his banner over me is love.
